It's about that time...

It has been a little while since I've updated. I have been a busy girl! Last time I updated was last Wednesday, and from Thursday on...I have been going nonstop. Thursday, I went to the Pacer game. They lost. I teared up when Reggie did. That was his last game. The crowd gave him a good send off, and for that, I am happy. For some reason I brought my digital camera with me to the game. I left it in the bathroom. I thought I had lost it for good, but somebody turned it in. Weird. In celebration of that, I had my camera by my side all weekend. That's weird for me too. I did a lot of driving this weekend. Actually, I wasn't the one driving, so I was actually riding. On Friday, I went with C. Brian to Wabash, IN, then we came back to Indy, then we went back to Wasbash sat morning, and then to Ft. Wayne sat night, then back to indy monday. Shew.. I spent a lot of time with C. Brian this weekend. When I say a lot...I mean A LOT. I think we were almost together constantly for about 4 days. Wow. We didn't get on each other's nerves at all. Well, maybe I got on his, but he hid it well :). It was nice. We got to talk a lot. The picture above was taken in the car at some point. I just installed Photoshop on my comp, so I decided to use it. :) I turned the pic black and white. Go me!!! I think it is a cute pic.

New news in my life:
First...random thought...is news called news because it is NEW???

Second...I randomly went into the Picture People a couple weeks ago and filled out an application. For those of you who don't know, I was a manager there till October of 2003. I liked it. I want to be able to have free use of a photo studio so I can take pics all the time!!! Well, not all the time, but once a week. It will be cool. I just applied to get a seasonal position for father's day, but I think they want me permanently. That's cool. They loved me. Nobody is working there that was there when I was there...except for one lady named Ruth...Ruth Olson. Everybody else is gone...so the drama should be gone too. The funny thing is I have to redo my training pics. I know how to freaking take pictures! I know everything there is to know about the picture people...but alas! I have to take pictures of a teddy bear again...Oh well.

Third...My job title at Reese has changed. I am now a sales and inventory analyst. Old Brian works at Reese now. He has my old job in the IT department. He is more suited for that anyway, and my new job will allow me to work anywhere anytime once I go back to school in August. YES!!!! I don't have to fix anymore computers!!!!! Plus, being an analyst almost goes with a math degree...almost...

This post sucks...

One day soon I will get out of the rut...until then...

the track...

I went to the speedway on sunday. It was pretty fun. I had a few issues when I got there, but it all got worked out. John Reese told me he was going to be able to get me pit passes. This really is the only reason why I went. I am not that big into racing, but it would be cool to be in the pit. C. Brian and I get there, and John Reese meets up with us and takes us to the tent we need to go to to get pit passes. (There are a lot of to's in that sentence..) Alright..moving on.. I happened to be wearing flip flops. Turns out you can't get into the garage or pit area wearing flip flops. John tells me that, and I am sort of bummed. We try to get in anyways...and sure enough...they wouldn't let me. C. Brian and I then start wandering around for a minute. I just didn't talk...I was trying to figure out what to do and keep from crying. I couldn't leave to go get shoes because then I wouldn't be able to get back in. Plus, we would actually have to go get shoes somewhere else. He drove, if I would have drove, I am sure we could have found about 10 pairs of shoes in my car. We go into the gift shop area...they sell socks there. I had no cash...but Brian bought me a pair of nice crew socks for 8 dollars. I like him...he is nice :). I go to the bathroom and put them on over my flip flops. It looked ridiculous. I came out of the bathroom, and Brian laughed at me for about 5 minutes. I was mad at him and wouldn't move until he stopped laughing at me. They let me in, so that was all that mattered and we had a good time. I just looked funny. Ha..well this is a really long post for such a dumb story.

Lesson learned: If you want to go to the racetrack...and you want to go into the pit, wear some damn shoes!! K?

I'll take that.

I am a huge survivor fan...and the finale is on sunday. In honor of it, here is a little quiz. This guy is my favorite anyway, and he is still in the game...so sweet! Plus...Napoleon Dynamite is awesome!

Your Survivor Palau Twin is Ian

Goofy, but an all around nice person.

The Napolean Dynamite of Survivor!

Seriously????

Detroit's coach complained about the officiating of Friday night's playoff game. He said the refs made bad calls, and didn't call some fowls...whatever... I can't believe he complained about that...especially when it pertains to a game against Indiana! Hello??? November 19th anyone? As if nothing bad ever happens to the Pacers..ha..

Pacer's coach Rick Carlisle had this to say in response to Larry Brown:

"I agree with what Larry said," Carlisle responded. "I think the players should decide it. The referee allowed Reggie Miller to decide the game with a difficult shot. He made it. Hey, you can call it an offensive foul maybe it's a flop. Lindsey Hunter is a great defender. You can go either way on that.

"They shot more free throws [28 to 27], we committed more fouls [25 to 23] than they did," he said. "We lose Jermaine O'Neal on an incidental play with 2:30 left to go in the game. I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear it. Not with the season we've had. Not with what we had to fight through."

As he said "fight through," Carlisle slammed his right hand on the podium for emphasis. "You must be steadfast in your abstention from falsehood," Carlisle continued. "That's a simple way of saying don't kid yourself. The truth is the truth. We're holding on for dear life, really, all this season, and we have to hear about how the officials blew the game. C'mon! Seriously. I disagree. I think it's ridiculous. Not with the way both teams played."

Crash

Last night, I went to see the movie Crash. I am almost at a loss for words on how to describe this movie. It was a very good movie, but also a very awful movie. It isn't awful because of bad directing or actors, but the very subject that tackled is hard for anybody to swallow. It is definately not a feel good movie. It deals with the truths of racism. It deals corruption. It deals with a lot. It leaves your head spinning. At times, you are almost horrified. Basically, the idea of the movie is that people in Los Angelos are moving around so quickly with no contact with one another that they eventually, their lives crash into each other. This movie brought together a random mix of people that crashed into each other. I would reccomend watching this movie. It is an eye opener. It definately will cut to your heart. Entertaiment Weekly gave it an A. That is a HUGE accomplisment. Not many movies at all receive that honor. Go watch it, or wait till it comes out on DVD, but at some point...you must see it!

Foster was on fire the other night in Detroit. Hopefully they can do it again tonight!!!!

GO PACERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
