friends.

My friend Abi Clifton from Cumberland is getting married this weekend. She transferred from Cumberland after our sophomore year, and I have only seen her once or twice since then. I was really excited about going to her wedding. I get to be the guestbook attendant...oh yeah! Well...my car is messed up right now and I was REALLY bummed because I didn't think that I was going to make it to the wedding. Brian can't go because he has another wedding to go to, so he couldn't drive. I was going to see if I could get someone else to go with me and possibly drive. I talked to Asher. He would probably have gone with me, but his cousin is getting married this weekend. Before I could talk to anybody else, Afton called. Afton is a new, AWESOME friend of mine. She asked about my plans for the weekend and I told her about not being able to go to the wedding...she then offered to let me borrow her car because she is flying out of town for 4 day. How awesome is that??? I was absolutely floored!! I can't believe she is just letting me take her car down to Kentucky!!! I am so happy now that I get to see ABI!!!!! So this post is dedicated to Afton, and to all of the other friends of mine that have driven me around throughout the years...you know who you are... You guys rock!!!

*Crazy thing...last weekend, I went with Brian down to one of his friend's late cottages... It was so great because I got to see Tony from Cumberland. It has been forever since I have seen him and it was so very awesome to get to talk to him. It was very random. See, Tony was in Honduras with Kyle who invited him to the Lakefest thing...Kyle happens to be one of Brian's friends...thus...both of us randomly ended up there...good stuff...there...now you got a mention on both of my blogs :)

*I really want to eat some fair food...does anybody else love all that good stuff they only sell at the fairs??? Plus...I love the tents with all the free crap you get. I love 4-H exhibits...I just love it all! Somebody go to the fair with me...PLEASE!!!!!

Average Joe

I watched the final episode of Average Joe last night. The average guy actually won! I was happy. It was the third season of this show, and the other two times the girl has picked the hot guy with absolutely no substance. This time...she got it right! I was happy...

Alright.

*I watched Supersize me the other day. Has that show detoured anybody from eating McDonalds? I know that after I watched it, I wanted to actually go get some mcdonalds.

*My car is still not running. I am really thinking about a donation box for this blog.

*I must go now...I am busy...I will try to write more later today...

Until then, answer this: Is reality t.v. getting way out of control???

sweet photo shop skills and other things...

So, I took some pictures of Great Scott last night. It was raining really hard, so there wasn't much I could do. Today, I decided to mess around with one of the pics. Notice the before and after and see what changes you can tell I made. (the B&W is the after just in case you were wondering...)

Fun times...I really like Photoshop

Alright...moving on...

*I saw a terrible movie this week. Devil's Rejects...wow. It was another sneak preview. I really could get used to those. It was so terrible that it was to the point of nearly being good. I don't know if it is worth a run to the theatre to see it. Wait for it to come out on DVD. After the movie, we went the gas station. There was this guy at the gas station standing outside of a black SUV with a gun strapped on him. I thought it looked a bit shady. Is that legal? He didn't look very cop like, and the strap didn't look like a police holster either. It was kind of creepy.

*Last night, it rained so hard. Outside of Peppers, the water was creeping closer and closer to the door. There was so much water that you couldn't tell the difference between the street and the sidewalk. Crazy. Everybody who was walking outside was soaked to the bone...including some random dude in a leotard super hero suit..weird.

I was thinking last night about Peppers. That place has really been good to me. I am going to make a list about why I am thankful for Peppers.

Here it goes.

*Brian-He is awesome!
*The rest of Great Scott-they are fun to dance to and nice to talk to.
*Afton and Ellen-I met them at Peppers also. They are two awesome girls.
*Jason-he's the door guy. He lets my friends and me in for free. Plus he gets lots of passes for sneak previews and he lets me go. Also, he helped me move last weekend. He may possible be one of the nicest guys ever.
*Jude-he cracks me up
*all of the other random people I have met there that now I always see around in the ripple
*the outside area...it's very nice
*Scott Pollard!! I met him there...along with David Harrison and Jermaine O' Neal was there too.
*Nuvo-my picture was in Nuvo because I was at Peppers.
*bands upstairs..club downstairs..
*they have two bathrooms.
*Red Stripe-it's a Jamaican beer...introduced to me at Peppers. I can actually tolerate it.
*Because of peppers, so many other things have happened too. I have met so many different people outside of peppers if it wasn't for going to peppers.
*I get to see my friend from Cumberland Tony this weekend. If it wasn't for Brian being friends with Kyle who was in Honduras with Tony, I wouldn't know about this Lakefest thing. Sweet! All that because of Peppers.

That probably was of no interest to nobody...oh well...I just must say that Peppers has changed my life..sniff sniff...and to think that I used to hate that place...

A few things

1. I was watching the news last night and there were a few touching stories that really got to me.
*A couple years ago there was this really bad paint truck accident here in Indy. There was a paint crew riding in the back of the truck and someone extremely smart lit a cigarette causing the truck to catch fire. Two people died and there were a bunch of severely injured people. There was one guy on the truck that got burned over 85% of his body or something. I guess he was the most badly burned person to ever leave the Wishard burn unit alive. He was crippled and had to learn to walk again. The best he could do was with his walker. He promised his kids a trip to Disneyworld this year (with him driving there) if he could get his walking up to par. One week before they were to leave, he developed a very bad infection in is leg...it was related to the burn. Doctors told him that the only was to save his life would be to amputate his leg. They did the surgery, but he was still determined to take his kids to Disneyworld...sooo a week later, before the prosthesis was even made, he took his kids to Disneyworld. It was a painful trip for him, but how sweet is that? I don't think I would be able to do that...I am too much of a baby
*There is a woman who is dying of breast cancer. She has a three year old daughter. She wants her daughter to be able to know her and have a mother growing up. She is making tons of cards for every occasion so her daughter will always have her there. She is writing letters, making videos, sharing memories, pictures..etc...She also is answering a lot of questions her daughter may have as she is growing up. How incredibly awesome is that? She has so much stuff she has made that it would take her daughter a long time to get through it, so that way her mother is always there. I think that is very sweet. I probably would just want to roll over and die as soon as I could, feel sorry for myself..but not her...that's awesome

2. Ellery came to town on Saturday. They really are awesome. It was raining something awful; it basically made me crazy I do believe. Brian finally got to meet them...and see them play a couple songs before he and Josh had to run off to their own show. Afton, her sister, and her sister's boyfriends came and Afton declared herself their newest biggest fan. They really are good. I highly recommend buying one of their CD's. I promise you won't be disappointed, and really, that is how they make their money. This is their job. Buy one! After the show, we had to face Black Expo traffic. It was horrendous. I ended up not making it up to Broadripple for Kristin's party. That's alright though. I was incredibly tired. I just crashed hard. Wow..I am sure everybody was completely interested in that.

3. I guess I am going to be getting to make a real website. I have been playing around with GoLive lately and it was fun. Apparently I am on the board for Indy Young Adult Mass now. That's funny. I am going to get to make a website, and I get to do some hospitality type stuff. I also get to help plan out stuff for the reception. For Tyana, I won't have to clean up tables or coffee :) It will be more like planning games and such. It will be fun. Anyway...I am excited that I get to make a real one because I sort of have been making a fake one. You can check it out if you would like. It is for Great Scott!, and it definitely is far from finished...but the about us page looks cool, and you can click on Matt, Brett, and Chad. The contact us page looks nice too...but it doesn't work yet. Here it is. Keep checking back because more stuff will be making its way on it. If you would like to see their real website, go here. Now, on the fake one, I am just hosting it off of the filemanager thing IUPUI has, so sometimes things won't load up right. Be patient!

4. I cut my hair! It was getting pretty long, but alas! it is all gone! It is not that short...but it definitely is shorter. I like it. It makes me look a few days older. Ha. I will put a picture up soon.

5. Thom asked a question in a comment below for all you blog readers...He asked if you were a computer, what kind of computer would you be?
Thom said he would be a middle-aged semi-militant black lesbian AS400...
I said I would be a Sony Vaio laptop because it is small and cute.
What would you be?

6. Speaking of Thom, I really do like to see where people come from to get to my blog. I forget if it is google or yahoo, but if you search for berbee blog, my blog comes up third. Sweet.

7. I would like to give a shout out to Jason (if he is reading this) and Brian (who may read this). Brian had to trade cars with his mom this weekend and conveniently had a van. Jason's parents had a truck. They both helped me FINALLY move my crap out of my apartment. I found $5.02 worth of change on my old bedroom floor. cool.. I have my new bedroom set up..and that's nice...finally! my own bed!

8. I think I will stop now.

what a nice pic.

So I tried out the new way to post pics via blogger. This is nice. It's much better than Hello because it's all in one step. I am sure that matters to all of you non-bloggers out there.

*I must say that I like this pic. Why? you ask.. Well...it has Josh in it. He is the drummer. He is playing at Peppers...with Great Scott. That's sweet. He is good. Plus...it has Brian in it. He's cute. :) So.. it definatly is a good picture because both Brian and Josh are together...in a band! Cool! Alright...
*I went and saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Tuesday. Jason, if you are reading this, thanks for the tickets. You rock! I enjoyed it. I loved the original...I love the new. The new one reminded me a lot of reading the book when i was younger... How I imagined it in my mind or something like that.
*I still don't know what is wrong with my car yet. I haven't gotten it looked at. It has been kind of nice not having a car...except for the weekend when Brian had to drive me around. I felt bad for that. He hates driving.
*It seems that my posts have made a drastic change. I used to not talk about my life much. Now, that's all I talk about. Which is more interesting?

that's funny

Your Summer Anthem is Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani

So I'm ready to attack, gonna lead the pack
Gonna get a touchdown, gonna take you out
That's right, put your pom-poms down, getting everybody fired up

For you, summer is all about fun, friends, and a little girl fighting.

What's Your 2005 Summer Anthem?

What's even funnier is when C. Brian sings this song...

That's all for now...

update time

Let's see...last I left you, it was 4th of July weekend. Sorry that I have not came back till now! That just means I have a lot to write about.

*I will start with the actual 4th of July weekend. I went up to Brian's friend's lake cottage in Angola, IN. That was fun. There were A LOT of people there. Do you know what a sand bar is? I didnt. We were going to the sand bar. I thought we were going to a beach area. I was wrong. So we take a pontoon boat in the middle of the lake where there was an abnormal amount of pontoon boats gathered. We threw the rafts in the water so we could put coolers of beer on top of them. Then everybody got out. Then, you just stand in the water and drink beer all day. It really is weird. It's kind of funny to look out and just see all these people just standing and drinking.

*The week was pretty good. I watched Spanglish. I thought it was a decent movie. Also, on thursday night, I went and saw Wedding Crashers. It was good. I really have the hook up. There is this guy who works at Peppers, and he gets tickets to sneak previews all the time. This week, I am going to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!!!!!!!! I am a happy happy girl.

*Something is wrong with my car and I think it is bad :(. So now I am without a car. I hate cars. Most of you know that my luck with cars is absolutely horrible. So here is my question: If I got a little donation box on my blog for my car, would you donate? Ha...

fireworks...

I hope that everybody has a safe and wonderful 4th of July weekend...

*wow, that was so canned.

*look at the sentence above; I didn't use any (....), I think I like sentences with the (....) better.

*I had to buy a swimsuit because I am going to some lake cottage this weekend. That was traumatic. I need a tan!

*Answer me this:

Should guys be allowed to wear Speedos?
